About This Role

We are seeking a highly attentive, organized, and motivated individual to join our Accounting team. Our ideal candidate has a love for numbers, values strong attention to detail, and contributes positively to the overall team culture. This role is also required to work some evenings and weekends as needed to meet operational deadlines and is fully in-office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all outgoing trust wires, ensuring proper verification of all deposit and banking information, etc.
  • Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all trust accounts.
  • Maintain Trusted Savings Reconciliation.
  • Confirm and post deposits in all trust accounts.
  • Manage all pre-bills, complete pre-defined allocations, and createinvoices.
  • Upload bills via electronic systems for specific clients, ensuring prompt follow-up on billing inquiries.
  • Assist with all month-end and year-end accounting functions as required, including gathering and providing required information.
  • Provide backup coverage for other accounting functions such as payables, and cheques and deposits.
  • Post and prepare POL-E-Submissions.
  • Reconcile FCT/Stewart Title/Chicago Title invoices for payment.

What You Bring

  • Experience:Diploma or Degree in Business with a focus in Accounting. 3-5 years experience in an Accounting role or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Skills:Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and communication skills.
  • Mindset:Critical thinker, problem solver, self-motivated, and a team player with a positive attitude excited to contribute to a collaborative culture.
  • Tech Proficiency:Adept at using technology such as Outlook and Microsoft Office, with a talent for learning new software quickly.
