Job Description

**Job Summary**

Join our team as a vital part of the logistics chain, ensuring that packages reach their destinations safely and on time. In this role, you will be responsible for the loading and unloading of aircrafts and vehicles, as well as scanning and transporting freight within the ramp and facility areas. This is a dynamic, physical role ideal for individuals who enjoy staying active, working with machinery, and being part of a collaborative team environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Load and unload aircrafts and company vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Scan and transport freight to and from the ramp and within the warehouse facility.
• Operate various types of ramp equipment, including Ground Support Equipment (GSE), tugs, belt loaders, and T-stacking equipment.
• Handle Dangerous Goods (DG) according to strict safety protocols, including proper labeling and documentation.
• Maintain all required accreditations through successful completion of yearly recurrency training.
• collaborate with team members to meet operational deadlines.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**

• **Education:** High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• **Licensing:** Must possess a valid G driver’s license (or provincial equivalent, e.g., Class 5) with a good driving record.
• **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment.
• **Technical Skills:** Ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute (wpm) and operate in a PC Windows environment.
• **Training:** Ability to successfully complete and maintain certification for all ramp training (GSE, tug, belt loader, etc.) and Dangerous Goods handling.
• **Soft Skills:** Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• **Language (Quebec Only):** If you reside in the province of Quebec, you must be bilingual (French and English).

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Six months of previous experience with FedEx or similar logistics operations.
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations.
• Familiarity with Canadian Customs regulations.

**Schedule and Shift Details**

• **Days:** Tuesday through Saturday.
• **Start Time:** Between 04:30 AM and 05:30 AM.
• **Note:** Shift times are subject to change based on operational business needs.

**Driving Record Requirements**

Candidates for positions requiring driving as a core competency will be assessed based on:
• A valid driver's license (e.g., Class 5, G, or 1[AZ]).
• A driving record with two or fewer violations and/or accidents in the 24 months prior to the date of application.
• Submission of a current driver's abstract.
• Performance during application interviews and any driver competency assessments.
