<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Our Distribution group is currently looking to add a <strong>Project Manager </strong>to our growing team, based in Toronto, ON.</p><p>Reporting to the Director of Distribution, this position will support various Electrical Distribution projects throughout the General Toronto Area (GTA) as well as other areas of Ontario as needed. We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager who has proven experience on large Construction projects, proven experience with project procurement processes and an understanding of Electrical Distribution Networks.</p>Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop detailed Project Plans and Budgets to support Project work</li><li>Contract Management, including all overarching agreements and subcontracts applicable to the project</li><li>Coordinate with engineering design teams and the client to ensure requirements are being adhered to and the design is staying on schedule</li><li>Monitor project financials on an ongoing basis to ensure things are on track</li><li>Facilitate any ongoing project meetings (client, subcontractor, internal)</li><li>Conduct monthly forecast meetings with project accountants and complete reporting on projected project margin</li><li>Work closely with the Operations Manager to strengthen relations with clients</li><li>Performance Reviews and selection / mentoring of individuals with the skills and experience to take on future leadership positions</li><li>Ensure that all project resources are always working safely</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification</li><li>10 Years’ experience working on construction projects</li><li>Experience utilizing Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 Scheduling and JD Edwards</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of Project Management concepts and principles</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills / Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Previous Overhead or Underground Distribution construction experience</li><li>Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certification</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee benefits, including an RRSP matching program, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing. </p><p><strong>About our Business</strong></p><p>Valard Construction is Canada’s premier utility contractor providing comprehensive EPC+ (engineering, procurement, construction) and maintenance services to utilities, independent power producers, mining, oil and gas industries and rural electric associations.
