Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, licensed 310T Mechanic to lead fleet maintenance operations across 7 depots, overseeing a fleet of 1,100+ pieces of equipment. This role involves both technical expertise and leadership, managing a team of 5 mechanics, and ensuring peak fleet performance, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of 5 mechanics across all locations.
- Coordinate and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance across the fleet.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Manage maintenance documentation, service records, and parts inventory.
- Provide hands-on diagnostics and repair support when needed.
- Oversee vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective parts and service sourcing.
- Develop and implement maintenance best practices and SOPs.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements:
- Valid 310T license – mandatory.
- Minimum 10+ years of heavy truck/equipment maintenance experience.
- Prior experience leading or supervising a maintenance team is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel between depots as needed.
