Flexibility in Practice: Explore Penticton. Penticton Regional Hospital is a regional referral centre with 158 acute care beds, on-site primary maternity care clinic, and dedicated OR time for gynecological procedures. The OB/GYN department provides consultative services to family physicians and midwives. This locum opportunity offers the chance to work in a high-calibre medical environment, with a collegial team of about 50 specialists and a commitment to collaborative care.

Position details

• Locum Obstetrics/Gynecology position at Penticton Regional Hospital
• Experience in consultative obstetrics, antepartum/intrapartum care, and gynecological surgery is welcomed
• Duration flexible (from a day to a year); contribute to patient care and the hospital culture

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-calibre medical environment alongside a team of specialists
• Provide consultative obstetrics, antepartum/intrapartum care, and gynecological surgical services as part of the OB/GYN department
• Support the regional referral centre’s maternity and surgical services

Compensation

Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service

Estimated Remuneration: A minimum income guarantee is in place to help provide coverage for unfilled shifts until December 31, 2024. You’ll earn $3,000 per 24-hour period, and $28.25/hour under the PRH MOCAP OBGYN contract.

• Earn between $250-$1,500 for travel time, depending on journey length
• Reimbursement for reasonable transport and accommodation costs under IH locum policy
