<p><p>The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking motivated Physician Assistants/Clinical Assistants for 2 full-time positions in the Anesthesia Program at the Health Sciences Centre, in Winnipeg, MB.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<p>The Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant will be required to perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/interventions. Duties of this position can/will include performing history and physical exams in a variety of settings that could include the Emergency Department and wards, as well as following patients in the pre/peri/postoperative ward and/or other clinical settings.</p>
<p>Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistants will be required to attend clinical and educational rounds. Administrative requirements will include standard of practice recordings of all patient encounters; these methods may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where/when available. Assistants must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.</p>

<p>Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications and is accompanied by a benefits package.</p>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant.</li>
<li>Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment.</li>
<li>Prior experience preferred.</li>
<li>Successful completion of the one-year Manitoba Anesthesia Clinical Assistant Training program required.</li>
<li>Candidates must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to CPSM.</li>
</ul>
<p>Clinical Assistants:</p>
<ul>
<li>Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad.</li>
<li>Must have at least one of the following:</li>
<ul>
<li>Clinical Assistant Assessment.</li>
<li>NAC OSCE.</li>
<li>LMCC.</li>
</ul>
</ul>
