Client Profile:
Our client is a leading provider of hydro and telecom works, specializing in building the power connections to our city. With a commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation, they deliver exceptional services nationwide. They seek a skilled High Voltage Civil Estimator with a strong background in civils and electrical estimation to join their team to work on projects for clients including Alectra, Hydro One, Metrolinx and Toronto Hydro. Projects include subdivision and LRT works.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the client to understand project scopes for overhead distribution and high-voltage transmission.
- Conduct site visits, utilizing advanced software such as Bid2Win to estimate costs accurately for civil construction activities.
- Provide recommendations to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
- Present detailed cost estimates to internal teams and external clients.
- Support project managers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of civil estimating experience, including overhead distribution.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bid2Win, HCSS, WiContinuenEst, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Salary - $120,000 - $150,000
