Job Summary

This role supports a major retail client by developing advanced marketing analytics and data science solutions to optimize media investments and drive business growth. You will build Marketing Mix Models, Bayesian models, machine learning solutions, and experimentation frameworks to measure and improve marketing performance across channels. The position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations, and experience working with retail or marketing analytics environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with one of our clients, a major retail firm, to assist with their marketing analytics and data science initiatives
  • Build hands-on media mix models to quantify impact of marketing and advertising campaigns to optimize investments across a wide range of media channels and tactics
  • Run optimization and simulation scenarios to help provide the marketing investment and allocation recommendations to stakeholders
  • Conduct data analysis and utilize Bayesian statistics to uncover patterns and insights that inform strategic business decisions
  • Build and utilize machine learning models to perform classification, regression, clustering, forecasting, etc.
  • Develop presentations and reports with relevant findings and be able to present findings to key stakeholders.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute opportunities to scale marketing efforts across acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Evaluate the incremental impact of marketing investments through experimentation (A/B testing, causal inference) at both macro and granular levels (channel, tactic, creative, etc.).
  • Build, operationalize, and iterate on data science solutions such as Marketing Mix Models, Bayesian Models, Audience Scoring, and Customer Segmentation to drive intelligent marketing strategies.
  • Provide closed-loop data science support for audience-centric marketing, including audience sizing, experiment design, segmentation, and targeting model development.
  • Support pricing, promotions, and other key business decisions through experimentation and ad hoc analysis.



Core Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in Python / R, model automation, and production-grade analytics pipelines
  • Proficiency with data visualization and dashboard tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Ability to use tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Python, R, Spark, SQL, etc.
  • Any working knowledge of marketing measurement approaches, i.e. econometric modeling, digital multi-touch attribution, experimental A/B testing, predictive modeling, etc. is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to tackle complex problems
  • Strong communications skills




Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 6-10 years of experience in Market Mix Modelling, Bayesian modelling, retail media, digital media, marketing measurement and site/ search analytics
  • Industry experience with a Retail, CPG, or Marketing Analytics firm is preferred
  • Strong experience in Bayesian statistics, hierarchical models, causal inference, and experimentation
  • Proven experience translating analytical insights into business impact (growth, ROI optimization, budget allocation)
  • Have experience with the ad-tech and mar-tech industry with extensive experience in measuring performance across the purchase funnel
