<p><h3>Senior Structural Engineer (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)</h3><p>We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented <b>Senior Structural Engineer</b> to join our client’s team located in <b>Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.</b> Our client is an industry leader dedicated to delivering innovative engineering solutions across a variety of complex projects. The Senior Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting business growth, driving structural engineering initiatives, and providing leadership within the structural and civil group.</p><p>As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing technical design, providing engineering approvals, and mentoring team members, while supporting project managers to ensure successful project delivery. You will bring strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and business acumen to help achieve the company’s strategic objectives in the structural engineering space.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Conduct structural reviews and evaluations of existing buildings and structures.</li><li>Prepare written condition and evaluation reports outlining findings and recommendations.</li><li>Complete engineering design assignments and manage projects of varying scope and complexity.</li><li>Collaborate with senior engineers on complex structural design projects.</li><li>Apply a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques to develop practical and effective solutions.</li><li>Perform office-based reviews of structural engineering shop drawings and calculations.</li><li>Conduct field reviews of construction activities related to structural elements (e.g., reinforcing steel inspections).</li><li>Utilize design software tools to execute structural design tasks in coordination with senior engineers.</li><li>Recommend and implement technological or process improvements within the department.</li><li>Support other engineers in technical tasks requiring precision in calculations, design, and analysis methods.</li><li>Provide technical oversight, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists.</li><li>Offer expert technical advice and direction to team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.</li><li>Participate in project meetings with engineering, project management, operations, and clients to ensure alignment and clear communication.</li><li>Perform project quality checks and audits, compile lessons learned, and contribute to improvement plans.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable industry codes, client standards, and engineering regulations.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).</li><li>P.Eng. designation with a minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and other structural design software tools.</li><li>Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to mentor, manage, and guide a technical team.</li><li>Experience in heavy industrial and underground structural design (required).</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to ensure effective collaboration with team members, clients, and contractors.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks within deadlines.</li><li>Systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving with adaptability to ongoing project changes.</li><li>Strong negotiating skills and customer service focus.</li><li>Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Valid driver’s license (required).</li><li>Demonstrated technical proficiency and applied knowledge of engineering codes, regulations, and industry standards.</li></ul><h3>What We Offer</h3><p>Why apply Brunel?
