Position Summary


Responsible for delivering efficient, customer-focused transportation services while cost-effectively managing departmental resources and workflows. Oversee day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring seamless coordination between drivers, dispatch, and warehouse teams. Lead, coach, and support staff to achieve performance and delivery goals, maintain high service levels, and ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational standards.


Schedule: Afternoon shift, Mon - Fri


What you will do



  • Managing driver performance, scheduling, and communication using dispatch and tracking systems (TMS, Samsara).

  • Monitoring trailer and equipment availability to support delivery schedules.

  • Reviewing KPIs, identifying process improvements, and implementing standardized procedures.

  • Monitor and resolve staff performance or disciplinary issues, maintaining positive working relationships.

  • Handling driver and customer issues promptly to maintain service quality.

  • Coordinating with planning, warehouse, and management teams to align labor, resources, and delivery needs.

  • Ensuring all staff complete required training and follow safety and reporting procedures.

  • Overseeing incident investigations, damage claims, and performance reporting for management review.

  • Focused on operational efficiency, team leadership, and customer satisfaction to ensure seamless transportation execution.


What You’ll Bring



  • 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Transportation industry experience would be a strong asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong leadership and analytical skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks

  • Direct experience with staff scheduling in a variable work volume environment
