We are looking for people who can provide an ongoing commitment.</p><p>The hours of work can include a variety of hours such as overnights, days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays to service clients in the following areas:</p><p>Central York Region: Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Holland Landing, Sharon, Cedar Valley, Sanford</p><p>we also have opportunities in South York Region: Richmond Hill, Vaughan, King, Whitchurch-Stouffville.</p><p>and in the North York Region & Surrounding Communities: Georgina, Keswick, Sutton West, Pefferlaw, Mount Albert, Beaverton, Sunderland, Bradford West Gwillimbury.</p><p>As a Home Instead Senior Care Employee, you receive:</p><ul><li>Job Training - Initial and ongoing training is provided, including specialized training opportunities</li><li>Work Close to Home - Serve seniors in your community</li><li>Social Environment - CAREGiving gives you the opportunity to meet new people and develop meaningful relationships</li><li>Personal Satisfaction - Your job will make a difference in someone's life</li><li>Growth Opportunities – grow your CAREGiving career in many avenues such as trainer, lead CAREGiver, etc</li></ul><p>Essential Job Functions:</p><ul><li>Providing 1:1 care assistance to each client individually or in a team setting with another CG</li><li>Assist in 2-person transfers using mechanical lifts or 1-person assists</li><li>Provide medication reminders</li><li>Support clients in completing all Activities of Daily Living such as toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulation assistance</li><li>Assist in palliative support as needed</li><li>Expected to maintain communication regarding all client care needs and changes and make appropriate reports</li><li>May be required to assist in Instrumental Activities of Daily Living such as laundry, changing linens, warming up meals, etc.</li></ul><p>Requirements of the Position:</p><ul><li>Must have a vehicle with valid auto insurance</li><li>Must be a certified PSW or International Nurse</li><li>Experience with 2-person transfers asset - training will be provided as needed</li><li>Experience with palliative care - asset</li><li>Experience changing with bed-bound clients,</li><li>Experience with all forms of personal care</li><li>Must be a team player and willing to work with other Home Instead CGs</li><li>Experience with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, MS, and Diabetes is an asset</li><li>Must be comfortable with pets and/or smoking</li><li>Must have a valid VSC check</li><li>Must have their TB test</li><li>Must be able to provide availability that will allow an ongoing commitment</li></ul><p><em>PLEASE NOTE</em></p><p><em>Home Instead requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 from all employees, with the exception of those who require accommodation under applicable human rights legislation.</em></p><p>Job Types: Part-time, Casual</p><p>Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Dental care</li><li>Extended health care</li><li>Vision care</li></ul><p>Application question(s):</p><ul><li>Which city do you currently reside in?</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Dementia Care : 1 year (preferred)</li></ul><p>Licence/Certification:</p><ul><li>Personal Support Worker certificate (required)</li><li>First Aid and CPR certification (required)</li><li>Ontario Drivers License with access to your own car (required)</li></ul><p>Work Location: On the road</p>
